I thought I was having a good dream for a change as I heard my best friend say, “Look, Time Warner is kicking FOX off!” As much as I hate turning my innocent TV on to the station from hell, I did. Their newsbots were asking people to call Time Warner to stop the January 1st deadline. Ahhh, life is good! On the bottom of the screen was a list of shows that would not remain with FOX: NFL, 24, The Simpsons, House, American Idol, Fringe and their faux “news” station that hammers out the hate toward our bleeding liberal hearts 24/7. There were a slew of others, but I’ll update this later. If anyone knows anything else about this, please, by all means, don’t hold back now. I don’t’ watch FOX (shocking, I know), so I was unaware of this before.
Glenn Beck’s recent exodus of sponsors should show Rupert Murdoch
that he doesn’t in fact, rule the world. I’m sure this is certainly a financial issue since Mr Murdoch has recently said he wants to charge for Internet searches. From what I could tell this morning, Time Warner is the culprit hero behind this. All of a sudden, I have found a new found affection for Time Warner.
FOX was asking for calls (and you won’t get the number from me) to keep FOX on the air. I know, ‘free speech’ will be heard loud and clear from the right fringers, but, it’s an attack when 24/7 we hear the cries of a revolution and conspiracies. I’m sure this won’t effect their cable show but it’s a start. At least this will keep their bias on one channel. Their cable show is equal to screaming “Fire” in a crowded theater with the fear inciting theories. And that IS against the law. I don’t believe in censorship but I also don’t believe in revolutions based on tax hikes that don’t exist.
The newsbots were also asking how much of a decrease should we get if Time Warner gives them the boot. There were boxes showing amounts that were supposed to make us demand refunds. Personally, I’ll pay a few dollars more to not hear their screeching. I’m sure their cable show will remain intact, but maybe, just maybe, they’ll keep the hate down. Nah, won’t happen! Still, it’s a start. So, please, by all means, charge up your cell phones and call Time Warner. I’m sure they’d love to hear from you. Although this isn’t about principle, I’ll take it anyway. Now, back to my coffee with a smile!
