Dick Cheney never seemed to be available during times of disaster or war because he was at “undisclosed locations.” From the point of Katrina’s impact to the arrival of the President, 4 days had passed. It took Bush six days to respond to the shoe bomber, yet Michael Steele has defended this while at the same time saying Obama was too slow to respond to the Undies Bomber incident.
Almost every known right wingnut pundit and politician have denied terrorist attacks during the Bush administration lately. Liz Cheney has started, in concert with other politicians and pundits, an all out verbal assault on our new president and the safety of our country. At least Bush has the integrity to keep his mouth shut.
When we speak of war, it’s unpatriotic to undermine the president of the United States of America if , especially if you’re the former vice-president. Liz Cheney is her father’s daughter alright. Has there been any other former vice-president that has undermined the President to this degree?
We’ve got Michele Bachmann telling people to arm themselves, Glenn Beck inciting fear and Bill O’Reilly giving brownie points for torture. Rush Limbaugh has said troops should not listen to the president’s orders, seemingly forgetting the President is their Commander in Chief.
We didn’t hear as much from Liz Cheney when Dick was in the White House, but, now that he’s not, she won’t STFU. Ann Coulter claims we have a secret liberal agenda and has also said we should “bomb Iran.”
Newt Gingrich, who is very familiar with scandal, has also attempted to undermine the security of our country by promoting war. I get his “Human Events” newsletters daily and every single one of them is taking swipes at our new President.
These are the people that are listened to by the right wing. The right wing fringers want to “take their country back.” These people falsely claim that Obama will “take your guns away”, which is, a lie.
Liz Cheney’s Keep America Safe website also pleads for the safety of CIA agents and their security:
“Seven former directors of the CIA recently pleaded with President Obama to cease his administration’s investigation of CIA agents, arguing that it threatens national security and the security of CIA agents, along with their families and friends.”
Ms Cheney, can you say, “Valerie Plame?“ They’re having a Wingnutpalooza and it’s all at our expense.
