Why Does The New York Post Hate New York?

Apparently, one of the writers from the New York Post, Michael Goodwin, thinks President Obama owes New York big time.  While it’s obvious that Mr Goodwin did not vote for the President, he seems to think we are owed something the other states are not because he we voted for him. The cover story titled, “Dear Mr President, Why Do You Hate Us?” is subtitled, “Obama’s disdain for New Yorkers.” And here we go:

“He punishes Wall Street for making too much money.

He threatens political jihad against anybody who dares challenge the too-precious Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.

He tells our governor to take a long walk on a short bridge.

This is nuts. Yet it’s what New Yorkers get for giving Obama nearly 63 percent of our votes in 2008, the third highest among the 50 states.

Imagine if we had voted against him.

His lack of gratitude alone should be enough to turn a blue state red. That he actually seems hostile to our interests should  add fury to our resistance.”

Mr Goodwin implies he voted for the president.  His visceral hatred of the President has led him to print disinformation so obvious it’s hard to believe anyone spends .50 on the garbage they’re peddling. Every last one of these non-facts are clearly coming from a delusional writer prone to thinking the President owes him personally because he we voted for him. Well, most of us did.

The President does owe us something. He owes all of America something.  We need to stop invading other countries. We need a little peace. We need health care for everyone.  We need Gitmo gone. Most of all, we don’t need the New York Post and their sophomoric writers making our necessities more difficult to obtain. Unless it’s intentional?

Mr Goodwin needs a little political knowledge. There are three branches of government and the President doesn’t personally run every city in America. We have a mayor, a governor and Senators.  The President does not make the laws and he is not the law.  He can approve bills or veto but  he doesn’t make them. So, before he attacks our still new President, perhaps he should begin blaming the obstructionists standing over there on the right.

Mr Goodwin’s gifts are not in the writing department, however he is exactly where he belongs. He’s working for the most politically biased media mogul in the world, Rupert Murdoch.  Mr Murdoch loves to hate and makes an absolute fortune doing so.

If Mr Goodwin is good boy and works hard, perhaps he can get his foot in the door at a better newspaper.  I hear they’re hiring at The National Enquirer.  I’ve heard their stories are more realistic and it would be a step up. Perhaps he could do a story on the three headed pig baby from Mars.
