Freedom Of Speech & Teabaggers

Teabaggers are complaining about Freedom Of Speech lately. They want Freedom of Speech to be how they define it. Let’s remember the town hall meetings where our Congress Critters were not allowed to utter a word.

Tea Party Nation defines Teabaggers as:

“Tea Party Nation (or TPN) is a user-driven group of like-minded people who desire our God given Individual Freedoms which were written out by the Founding Fathers. We believe in Limited Government, Free Speech, the 2nd Amendment, our Military, Secure Borders and our Country!”

Flash Forward. Now they are saying their Freedom Of Speech rights are infringed upon because we are upset about the complete imbalance of media allowed to attend their upcoming Teabaggers conference. I admit, it’s completely normal to allow World Net Daily and not ABC or NBC.  Are you kidding teabaggers!?

When we wanted to listen to our Congress persons and Senators at the town hall meetings, their rights were infringed upon. The teabaggers were organized and it was intentional. Even if it meant our health was at risk, they didn’t care.

To cry Freedom Of Speech now as they’re allowing WND and not ABC is almost funny, but it isn’t. Remember when FOX got upset about not being invited to the White House after bashing the president 24/7?  Yet it apparently only applies to them:

What seems to be grating excluded journalists, such as ABC’s Jake Tapper, who was complaining about it on Sean Hannity’s radio show the Friday before Martin Luther King Day, is that the invited media outlets include only those that haven’t bashed, misrepresented, or maliciously distorted the Tea Party Movement, its events, or its adherents.

The right to assemble privately and exclusively is as important in American history as…well, the freedom of the press. Causes that were once unpopular have become mainstream precisely because of the freedom to assemble, which means the freedom to assemble privately if the organizers so wish.

    Comrade Pekelo,

You are a misguided miserable cretin. The Rebel Yell is going to ring loud and clear. You and the Dumocrats are going to have to scamper and hide in the crevices where the sun does not shine. God help you. You are a loser.

  • Pekelo

@ Rebel. Your generalization or may i say…. warped sense of views are disheartening.

Who cares?!?…. Apparently not you. SO the question begs to be answered. What are YOU contributing towards the patriotic functions of this country other than your tunnel vision? You think everyone fits into this neat little hole if they disagree with you. Your sadly mistaken and quite naive.

You see there Rebel (yell). I didn’t make it about race. The teabagger who looked as me as if i was out of place made it a race issue…… BUT if it makes you feel better to keep pounding that drum you go right ahead for it is not I, who you need to convince, it is your own kind……and in by doing just that you have single handily dumb-down our country even further.

Remember that old adage, your either part of the problem or part of the solution. Care to wager on where you fit in?

Rock on, Anomaly100 – this was a great piece.

    • Rebel

Comrades! Why do you feel so threatened by the teabaggers? It is just a grass roots movement of people that are opposed to the healthcare bill and the socialist policies of the Obama admin. The town hall meetings were open to the public and the politicians who are used to a fawning press and softball questions were caught off guard by pissed off citzenry.

For 10 years the media and the left have been viciously attacking Bush and his administration. No President has been treated as poorly and as disrespectfully. Now that the right has found it’s voice and is fighting back you guys are acting like a bunch of sore losers.

Comrade Pekelo why do you guys have to make everything about race? I am olive skinned. I even have some Native American blood. Who cares?

Comrade Anomaly. What the hell are you talking about the press not being invited? Who is stopping them? Noone is stopping you from reporting on them with your petty and vicious misrepresentations?

      Have a nice day and f y’all.

      Peace Out,

      Rebel

….back to the subject at hand. The tea-parties.

I truly am afraid of what this group of people tend to represent. I am not saying they do not have this countries heart at hand. What scares me is the lack of knowledge most of them have. I say this after watching some videos of the clan in which they are asked questions about the placards they hold up. Only to find out that they aren’t sure what it means but…….. anarchy, anarchy!

Being a man of an “olive” toned melanin. I am afraid of getting brow beaten into the category of………. you caused this problem…. from some whacked out sub-human. I would immediately be labeled a “lib” upon showing up. Stereotyping if you may.

In reality, i would love to join such a group that isn’t so radical within their views. I am a moderate so i don’t believe in a hand-out for those who can willingly do so for themselves. NOR do i believe in corporate welfare. What i do believe in is compassion for the fellow human being regardless of his/her/it’s color. My ancestors were here before America was born and my birth here gives me a sense of patriotism. How do I fit in the category of helping this country out when i am viewed as a foreigner.

    • Anomaly100

@Pekelo: You bring up a very good point. Some politicians are advocating stereotyping Muslims. Muslims are not a particular color. Some may be more patriotic than others, but no one will know that. That’s a good question if anyone wants to answer it. How is Pekelo viewed and in what category? Perhaps whatever your religion is, will be how you’re viewed. It’s asinine but it seems to be what’s happening these days, however sad that may be.

  • Pekelo

I thought the McCain-Feingold bill was to regulate the amount of funds a corporation can give to any particular candidate. I thought it led to PAC limits in contributions. I had no idea the law pertained to freedom of speech…. as you say.

So once again major corporations like AIG or Walmart can donate or provide false hope on our airways. Freedom of speech is one thing but to feed me false hope in order to line the pockets of those who breathe greed is another.

Oh the hysteria………. these patients (fat cats) weave.

  • Brendalott

    Rebel -

Just wait to see how level that playing field is now that the corporations no longer need the lunatic fringe Tea Party to parrot their diatribe. Very soon, you won’t have enough voice to utter a whisper as to wanting your country back.

The corporate person doesn’t need you anymore, they now make the rules – for all of us. They will elect whom they please and those elected will not please YOU. You have just witnessed your own extinction and are too dumb to realize it.

    • Anomaly100

      @BrendaLott: I wish I’d said that.

  • Rebel

Comrade Anaomaly. I don’t know if you caught this bit of news or not, but I heard the other day that McAin Feingold was thrown out by the Supreme Court. Basically what they said was that all bets are off and we now have full blown freedom of speech. Individuals, Corporations, PAC’s, Political parties can all say or publish anything they want. It’s a level playing field. There will no longer be any restrictions during politcal campaigns.

This ruling was brought to the supreme court by a company that was prevented from releasing a documentary about Hillary Clinton in the last election, so they sued.

We now have a totally free and open market with respect to what people can say or publish in this Country. I think that is only fair. You can post your nonsense. the right can post the correct and factual point of view and we can compete in the arena of ideas.

Isn’t freedom a great thing. God I love this Country. God Bless America and God Bless the Supreme Court for this ruling.

    • Anomaly100

@Rebel: I am aware of this ruling however that has nothing to do with this post. The teabaggers hoedown is coming up & we are not invited. No one is except for the press that kisses their derrieres. If you call World Net Daily an informative source for news, then you are misguided. The teabaggers are claiming Freedom of Speech, yet they stopped us from hearing about health care reform. They called it dissent. That is what I tried to convey, however nonsensical you may find it.
