Dick, You REALLY Want A Military Trial?

It’s Biden vs Cheney week and Joe Biden is winning.  Dick, who is pushing for a military trial, could possibly get his way, if  Vice-President Biden has anything to do with it.

Except, we aren’t talking about the terror trial.  Be careful what you wish for Dick.

- Appearing on NBC’s Meet the Press, Vice President Joe Biden said today that he was “open” to the idea of military tribunals for people who tried to destroy America, “such as Dick Cheney.”

In advocating a military trial of the former vice-president, Mr. Biden said, “I hope that Dick Cheney’s support for military tribunals for dangerous bad guys would extend to a trial for himself.”

Mr. Biden said that the purpose of such a trial for his predecessor would be “to ensure that Dick Cheney never threatens the homeland again.”

But in an appearance on ABC’s This Week, Mr. Cheney seemed to stop short of supporting a military trial for himself, saying that all such tribunals “should exempt former vice-presidents.”

LOL Comrades. Cheney made a great speech at CPAC today. Please feel free to read the 8 pages of comments where 95% agree with what Cheney said.

@Anomaly: He spent most of his career in the public sector, SERVING his Country. If he was purely motivated by profit, he would not have left Halliburton to work in the second Bush administration.

@ Anomaly. I am trying to help Ron. If he wants to write well, then the first thing he needs to learn is the truth. As long as he believes the nonsense you post on your blog he will not have any success as a writer.

You asked me to name ONE thing of signifigance that Dick Cheney has done for this country. Dick Cheney has spent most of his professional life in the service of his Country. Just for fun, let’s compare Cheney’s career to Obama’s.

    Cheney:
White House Chief of Staff in the Ford Administration.
Served five terms in the House of Representatives.
    House Minority Whip.
Secretary of Defense during George H.W. Bush adminstration where he oversaw the highly successful Desert Storm operation.
    VP of Bush Admin

I would say his most significant accomplishment would be the handling of our National Security in the aftermath of 911.

    Private Sector: CEO of Halliburton

    Obama:

    Community Organizer
    Law School Professor
    Three terms in Illinois Senate
US Senator from Illinois where he spent most of his time voting “present” and running for President.
Presided over the largest increase in Government spending in US. History.
2009 Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing.
ZERO Private Sector, Business or Management Experience

Most significant accomplishment: Obama sets the standard for reading off teleprompter.

@Rebel: As far as Dick’s “service of his country,” (your choice of words is hilarious) he dodged serving in the military. Does 5 deferments ring a bell? FIVE. He had better things to do & during Iraq, he profited from the American and Iraqi blood that was spilled. Oh, how far we have fallen.
