“If I have to get thrown into this massive government health care insurance business and end up going to the driver’s license office every day when I need to go to the doctor, yeah, I’ll go to Costa Rica for treatment, not move there,” he told listeners Tuesday, according to a transcript on his website.

It’s not hard to check out what he actually said, but then you wouldn’t have anything to scream about, would you?

You may not know this, but Limbaugh does not have health insurance. He is obviously very wealthy and does not want the hassle of filling out forms and dealing with the paperwork associated with medical insurance. He simply gave them his credit card when he checked in and the Hospital was more than happy to bill him for his care. His only remark was that the Dr’s and the quality of care was excellent – that we have great medical care in this Country under the present system. Self-pay by credit card is not socialized medicine by any stretch of the imagination.

If you are a US Citizen, will you rush off to Costa Rica (Canada, Great Britain, Cuba) for any significant medical procedure or treatment?

I don’t think you can reasonably question the quality of Heath Care we have in the US. There are obvious problems that need to be addressed. But the majority of American Citizens do not want what is currently before congress.

The term Socialized Medicine is used to describe a system of publicly administered national health care. This system can range from programs in which the government runs hospitals and health organizations to programs in which there is national universal health care. Although, these programs are often associated with communist run countries, every Western Country except the United States has some form of socialized medicine.

Quit spouting off saying that we have socialized health care when we do not. If you did some research you would know this. But then again…what progressive/liberal does research? Heh.
