WorldNetDaily's Bullet

Welcome to “Tomato gate”.  It was a quiet evening when I happened upon a picture of President Obama which appeared to be a bullet going through his face.

So, I asked twelve people what they made of this picture. I thought it was  a bullet.

Nine people thought it was a bullet, one said it’s a meatball and another couldn’t decide between a flower or bullet.  The last person said it looked like his nose was smashed. At this point, I was fully prepared for the next person to identify the object as an Islamic bingo ball.

Soon after this I found myself in Bizarro World as I was inundated with comments from the readers of WorldNetDaily.  They saw a tomato.

My proof of the alleged tomato vs bullet is simple.  Meet WorldNetDaily.

They sell books that incite fear, knowing exactly who the Antichrist is and will share this with you for only $4.95! It’s called, “Islamic Antichrist.” No shock there.  Couldn’t you guess the Antichrist in their version would be of Muslim faith? Actually, the premise of this splendid book is entirely wrong, but I don’t want to lecture anyone on the Bible or the Quran, but they do.

More fear by way of the prophesized doomsday of 2012 with a countdown clock of course.  They’re selling more books. Hey if this guy knows the world is going to end, shouldn’t he just give the book away? He won’t need the money and he’ll get brownie points to get into his version of heaven.

Here’s the good part. It comes with a certificate that promises a “money back guarantee!”  Well genius, if the world is ending, we won’t know if the book is accurate, until it actually ends.

Here, they’re asking people to rip up their AARP cards because they should:

join Conservative50Plus, a group created specifically to fight AARP an organization which supports the Obama socialist agenda… the destruction of the most efficient and humane health-care in history… the death tax… gun control… and other causes that you and I abhor.

For $50.00.

Death tax? Gun Control?  Say what? And what is, “other causes that you and I abhor?”  Now that part is funny! You know, just stuff we hate, because we hate it.  These are some serious haters.

Every single time I get their email (brave of me, I know) they try to sell something, for instance, bumper stickers by saying, “Spread a Little Hope, Send a Little Cheer, Obama is Going To Be Impeached Next Year!”

That’s not the bumper sticker, that’s the sales pitch.  Impeach him for what exactly?

They’re also trying to get money for a defense fund, books, bumper stickers, magazines, well, you get the snake oil salesman point they’re making.

“How To Survive A Blast Or Dirty Bomb” is written across the top.  ”Stop Open Borders” is on the side of their site.

WND even dared to pitch their readers for a few more dollars with this:

“Real, old-fashioned investigative journalism like WND does, and only WND does, tends to attract lawsuits,” said Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer. “WND has faced its share over the years and expects to continue to face more in the future. It’s hard to fund the investigations and defend them in the courtroom against adversaries with deep pockets.”

About those deep pockets Mr Farah. Can you say Orly Taitz?  She’s the Queen of Birthers and she is the queen for money and fame.  She’s on her website recently trying to raise money. This money she claims is supposed to fund her efforts in proving that President Obama is secretly from Kenya.

She claims her, “blog and defendourfreedoms.net was taken over by obots.” So, she opened another one the obots can’t find.  It took about one second to find it.

Which brings me to Mr Farah, Tea Party promoter and Birther extraordinaire.  He’s not the leader of the Tea Party. They have no leader.  He just promotes it.

His rag incites fear by using the same keywords over and over.  Al Qaeda,  terrorists, rights, gun control, TSA, birth certificate, the homosexual agenda, well, you get the idea.

I’ve been inundated by comments from the WorldNetDaily readers defending their sacred website

While the right defends Tomato Gate by seeing a tomato, I see a bullet because I see the other words on their website. I see the increase in death threats to the President.

I also see a lot of right wingers throwing around the word, revolution lately.  Yes, I see a bullet.
