The right wingers are getting their talking points in order. For one, if we mention the “B” word, right wingers feign exasperation as if we’ve monotonously brought up a subject that’s already been resolved.
Truth is, there are more questions about his vice president than there are about Bush.
When Bush was in power his administration had FOX news backing his every move. When President Obama was sworn in, they still have FOX news twisting anything that ever resembled the truth in order to undermine this president’s attempt at healing our country. They also, do not bring up Dick.
Big Journalism had this to say:
“Where were you when George Bush was President?” You know that question well. It’s been asked of each of us more times than any of us would care to count. Do you know how I usually answer it?
I was home, enjoying my life. I went to work every day and focused on doing the best job that I could do. When I wasn’t working, I hung out with family and friends. I went to baseball games, and barbecues, and obscure little hole-in-the-wall joints to hear some of my favorite live music over a couple of Guinnesses. Yum.
Why? Because while George Bush was president, we had a media establishment that was challenging our government, not our citizens.
Liberty Chick wrote that post. I have something to ask Ms. Chick. Why don’t you bring up Dick? Why is he never mentioned except when he’s Obama bashing? In my opinion, he is far worse than George W. Bush ever was. Basically, he was the President.
We need to make a deal with the right. We won’t bring up Bush, if they’ll start talking about Dick.
Mr Cheney has quite a record of misgivings during his vice presidency. For one, was it ever resolved as to how money he made during and from Hurricane Katrina:
Despite the importance of the Katrina legislation to his tax return, it looks like none of the charitable contributions actually went to Katrina-related charities (the press release lists the 3 charitable recipients, all of which were designated in the original 2001 gift agreement). While there’s nothing inappropriate about that from a legal perspective, it does demonstrate how the legislation, which was sold to the public as providing relief to Katrina victims, provided significant tax benefits to the VP (and potentially other wealthy individuals) in situations that have nothing to do with Hurricane Katrina.
Why was vice president Cheney in such a hurry to legalize torture:
This week, Vice President Dick Cheney proposed a novel solution for the moral and legal problems raised by the use of American soldiers to abuse prisoners and the practice of turning captives over to governments willing to act as proxies in doing the torturing. Cheney wants to make it legal for the Central Intelligence Agency to do this wet work.
That was written in 2005 by Craig Murray. 2005.
I could write volumes on the unanswered questions we have about Dick Cheney. I’ll ask just one more, for now. Why have George Bush and Dick Cheney been on the outs since they left office?
George Bush has at least had the graciousness, or is it, wisdom, to not bash our president? At least his veneration toward our country now, is more productive than Dick’s irreverence is.
The birthers have the gall to ask about our President’s nationality when real issues go unanswered about the last administration. While torture is condoned, we had to hear our President criticized for using mustard. Vice President Cheney was at undisclosed locations during Hurricane Katrina, but the right wing dares to mention Obama using a teleprompter?
Bush used a teleprompter too, but we won’t talk about that anymore, if you’ll talk about Dick Cheney. Deal? We have a lot more questions.
